 Parameters

|ps=no to omit the trailing "."

 Examples

would look like:

Ecclesiastical History of the English People. by Bede

{{ws|[[s:Ecclesiastical History of the English People|''Ecclesiastical History of the English People'']]|ps=no}} by Bede

would look like:

It can also be used within other templates eg in {{cite book}}:
