This template's initial visibility currently defaults to autocollapse, meaning that if there is another collapsible item on the page (a navbox, sidebar, or table with the collapsible attribute), it is hidden apart from its title bar; if not, it is fully visible.

To change this template's initial visibility, the |state= parameter may be used:

• {{فرانك ميلر|state=collapsed}} will show the template collapsed, i.e. hidden apart from its title bar.
• {{فرانك ميلر|state=expanded}} will show the template expanded, i.e. fully visible.

 Type parameter

The parameter: |type= can be added to the template. Settings include:

• "comic" which will place the article into Category:Comics by Frank Miller, and
• "film" which will place the article into Category:Films directed by Frank Miller,
• "script" which will place the article into the Films category as well as Category:Screenplays by Frank Miller,
• "work" which will place the article into Category:Works by Frank Miller,

Please note that:

• The sorting will be by the pagename or the default set with {{DEFAULTSORT}}.
• With normal placement of the navigation template, the category will precede "manually" added categories. Care should be taken.
