عصر پرمي

العصر الپرمي Permian period: هو عصر جيولوجي يمتد من حوالي 299.0 ± 0.8 مليون سنة إلى 251.0 ± 0.4 مليون سنة قبل الحاضر; حسب ICS 2004. وهو آخر عصر في الحقبة الپاليوزية. وفيه زادت أعداد الففاريات والزواحف وظهرت فيه البرمائيات. وانقرضت فيه معظم الأحياء التي كانت تعيش من قبله . وفيه ترسبت الأملاح بسبب إرتفاع حرارة الجو .

 أقسامه

الأقسام الرئيسية الثلاثة للعصر البرمي مذكورون لاحقاً من الأحدث إلى الأقدم, ويضم مراحل الحياة البرية faunal stage أيضاً من الأحدث إلى الأقدم. Additional age/stage equivalents or subdivisions are given in parentheses. Epoch and age refer to time, and equivalents series and stage refer to the rocks.
