الغاز المجتمعي sociable weaver (Philetairus socius)، يشتهر أيضاً باسم الغاز المجتمعي الشائع، الغاز الاجتماعي[2]، هو نوع من الطيور ضمن فصيلة Passeridae ينتشر في جنوب القارة الأفريقية.[3] وهو monotypic ضمن جنس الغازل Philetairus.[4] يوجد في جنوب أفريقيا، ناميبيا، وبوتسوانا.[5] لكنه يتركز في محافظة الكاپ الشمالي بجنوب أفريقيا.[6] تقوم طيور الغاز المجتمعي بنسج أعشاشها في مجموعات، بشكل نادر بين الطيور. ربما تكون هذه الأعشاش هي الأكثر إثارة بين أي نوع من الطيور.[7]
