التاپير الجبلي أو التاپير الصوفي mountain tapir (Tapirus pinchaque)، هو ثاني أصغر أنواع التاپير، والوحيد الذي يعيش خارج الغابات المطيرة الإستوائية في البرية.[2] يسهل التمييز بينه وبين أنواع التاپير الأخرى بفرائه الصوفي السميك وشفتاه البيضاء.
